If you agree the Light Rail should be safer here is a suggestion of what to say to Chair Nora Slawick.
My name is _________ and I would like to talk to Chair Slawick.
I am calling because I saw a news story about a local couple that was killed by the light rail and I can’t stop thinking about it.
A local man was killed and his fiancé permanently injured when a Metro Transit LRT driver was speeding, missed a stop sign, and hit the car they were riding in. I can’t help but think it could be my son in that car. I want to know what the MTA has done to prevent this from happening again.
Why does the MTA continue to argue with this family when the investigation proves LRT driver was at fault? This behavior makes me feel unsafe anytime I’m around the Light Rail. I’m furious that my tax dollars are being spent to argue with hard-working families like mine.
I am calling to encourage Chair Slawick to take care of Nic’s family, and share with the public what changes have been made to prevent this mistake from ever happening again.
